Tsuro

We spent the last two sessions of Compulsory Merriment playing two different versions of Tsuro: The Game of the Path. The gist of all versions is this: Lay tiles to move your token safely along the path while creating paths that lead your opponent off the board.

In Tsuro of the Seas, you’ll also have to contend with daikaiju – giant sea monsters that roam the board, consuming tiles, players, and even other daikaiju! In Tsuro: Phoenix Rising, you get an extra life to use if you fall off the board. You’ll also collect star tokens as you move along the path, which we found to be oddly satisfying.

You can play a regular game of Tsuro without the gadgets on either board. This is a relaxing game with beautiful artwork for 2-8 players, ages 8+.
